Pain Relief Acupuncture

Pain Management Acupuncture: a style of acupuncture used to bring instant pain relief by inserting acupuncture needles in distant sites from the location of pain. The treatment is suitable for injuries from overstrain, chronic or acute musculoskeletal problems (low back pain, neck pain, sciatica, tennis elbow, knee pain) or arthritis.

Patients often experience pain relief in one session. However, for most chronic problems, follow-up sessions are needed with a gradual reduction in the intensity of pain.

Acupuncture

Acupuncture is a method of treatment that stands out by its vast harmonising action on the bodily systems. This is accomplished through the complex effect of inserting needles into acupuncture points and their synergic combinations while controlling blood flow throughout organs and tissues.

Also by working with concepts that are still not so well understood if measured by conventional methodologies, like the flow of Qi within energetic pathways in the body or removing cold or heat pathogens.

Cosmetic Acupuncture

Cosmetic Acupuncture: facial acupuncture has become a popular non-invasive tool in recent years to combat wrinkles, improve the tone of the complexion and prevent skin sagging. During cosmetic acupuncture, very fine needles are inserted to improve muscle tone and blood circulation within the area of the face as well as boost natural collagen production.

What is included:

As beauty comes from within, the whole body is treated alongside face sculpting to provide a comprehensive anti-ageing strategy. It is advised to have 4 – 6 sessions weekly or fortnightly and then continue to condition the complexion in once-a-month (once in 6 weeks) treatments.

Moxibustion

A FREE addition to most acupuncture treatments and included in the price, moxibustion is another therapeutic method in Chinese and East Asian (Japanese) medicine. Mugwort leaves are dried and ground into small sticks or cones called moxa (similar to incense), which are then lighted and used to warm points on your body and relieve a variety of conditions such as - joint pain, indigestion, organ prolapse, gastrointestinal issues, menstrual cramps and infertility to name a few.

Whether indirect moxibustion or direct moxa, you only feel therapeutic heat and warmth, and no pain. It is particularly useful for supporting one's immunity due to its ability to increase white blood cell count*, reducing pain and inflammation.

*also a well-known fact in Japan supported by research studies.
